Wednesday the 12th of Jan
Lots of commission work still which I cant show you all yet but hopefully soon hence the lack of updates. Have also started my driving lessons again as well as housework that I have been neglecting somewhat annnd the yoga that I'm trying to do every day. So its nice to feel productive and kinda makes me wish I had been doing this since I finished Uni, its occurred to me I was just sort of waiting for things to happen and the world doesn't work like that, but working hard and doing a load of studies every day brought work in and hopefully it will continue like this and I will have enough to live off.
Here are some landscapes I did as warm up for some freelance stuff:

Monday 10th Jan
Been doing a lot of commission work at the moment that I can't show you guys so that's why it seems things have slowed down somewhat. I am working though! Did a few little studies this morning of city-scapes and had a go at the skewed perspective thing, it went ok as an experiment. Struggling to get the perspective right + straight lines without using the pen/stroke tool method which is a little frustrating but hopefully it will come with more practice.
Need to re-do my timetable to include some yoga I think, loose some of the Christmas pounds think I might try and loose a stone by April or at least shed some inches around my waist which is the bit that really bothering me. I know I'm not *fat* but I dont like having what feels like a pot belly. Might weigh myself tomorrow and keep you posted (not that you care) but so I have a record and see what some regular exercise and smaller portion sizes does. That is if we don't get a dog soon, because walking that for 40 minutes a day will shed some weight off me!

Friday the 7th of Jan
Spent most of the day out the house and away from my computer and managed to forget to pack my sketchbook so didn't get a great deal done today. Managed to do this landscape this morning though, I like doing them but I'm feeling like I need to take the next step like playing with the view point and perspective so its a bit more 'wacky' and interesting but I'm not entirely sure how to go about doing it. Also need to do more industrial type stuff but its something to ponder on the next few days.
Here is the landscape I did this morning, not entirely happy with the composition seems a little flat to me but I do like the colours.

Felt oddly less productive than yesterday, though I did art. Maybe its because I don't like it as much as the landscape from yesterday or maybe because I've been revising for my driving theory test and i'm worried because I dont test well generally and i find the way they phrase the questions excruciatingly convoluted some of which are accompanied by terrible photos which just make things more difficult for me because i'm a visual person. I know I struggle with text based tests and at £30 a time its kinda like I cant afford to take it more than once. Bleh.
But on to the art, first did a city landscape study since I really need to do more industrial stuff rather than organic as I cant avoid it forever, i'm not entirely happy with the outcome but I learned things so next time I will do a better one.
Did some gesture studies today using this Gesture Drawing tool which i've replaced posemaniacs with and i'm glad for it, its much easier to draw real people than computer generated bodies.
Had a go at doing an original character without a reference and he looks abit girly I think, but practice makes perfect.
Then I did some of the newest Drawing Jams 'Dude WTF' i've half settled on a snake and butterfly hybrid creature which I was having fun with but i might change my mind though I quite like the the thumbnails I came up with
